Dear Diary ;
after borrowing a book, a thin simple looking novel
on why Leonardo Da Vinci drew
Mona Lisa-
the second wife of an unimportant merchant
when influential dukes and royal kings
were demanding for paintings by his hand?
truly inspirational and enlightening-
of course, it led me to a series of questions
and many sudden perceptions unknown prior
to my read.
namely, it is easy to observe and comment
but how simple is it to judge ourselves?
why do people only like to listen to things they
want to hear?
we were given brains and hands- tools to imagine
and create, but are we able to define ourselves into
being truly cultured, near-perfect beings?
that the very hope of evolving ourselves to
be better, that along the way, we lose our sense
of righteousness and intergrity, yet gain wealth and fame
through unfair methods?
what do we truly seek?
why are we constantly seeking?
and i do not have the answers.
